Another exciting year has come to a close for Karate Alba and all our members and with it comes an opportunity to reflect on our progress as a club as well as recognising a few of our members for their particular dedication and hard work over the past twelve months. Sensei Ross awarded students from Beauly, BSGI, Glenurquhart and Merkinch clubs with "Student of the Year" awards for their club in their final club sessions of 2017 to recognise both their commitment and their progress in the past year.
Karate Alba Student of the Year - Cara Petrie
"Cara Petrie was awarded Karate Alba Top Student of the Year for 2017. Cara (age 9) won double Gold medals at the Scottish National Kata Championships (Shotokan Champion and All-Styles Champion), Silver (Kata) and Bronze (Kumite) at the Scottish International, Bronze (Kata) at the British International and Silver at the Scottish National Kumite Championships. Well deserved Top Student award. Oss!"

"BSGI Karate Club awards - BSGI Student of the year - Andrew Sloss. Top NEW student Finlay Cameron. Majority of BSGI students graded last week and demonstrated great spirit, effort and progress. They are such a pleasure to teach - especially in Gaelic, my mother tongue."
Merkinch Student of the Year - Miriam Avis

Beauly Student of the Year - Oliver Stewart

Glenurquhart Student of the Year - Rory McWhirr
